BlackbirdGo
BlackbirdGo was an ecommerce platform that allowed users to shop and place orders for pickup, delivery, and curbside pickup from retailers. These orders fed into its management application, MyBlackbird, to be fulfilled by store and delivery staff. Something unique about the this experience is that delivery orders were usually owned and executed by Blackbird’s internal delivery fleet.
The application was made up of an Angular v13 frontend and a Ruby on Rails v6 backend. It consumed data from MySQL and ElasticSearch datasources. I supported this project in a fullstack capacity, taking scopes from product and design teams and delivering them to production. Something I found particularly enjoyable about contributing to this project was working within the Ruby and Rails ecosystems.
I also developed the marketing site responsible for helping draw new users into its user base, blackbirdgo.com.
